PositionProject Manager SummaryThis key position serves as the single point of contact responsible for execution of all contract requirements supporting the Mobile Detection Deployment Program (MDDP). Provides leadership, operational oversight, personnel management, reporting, and coordination with the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer Representative (COR), and Federal Program Manager. This position supports mission-critical Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) operations. Personnel must be capable of supporting surge deployments, intelligence-driven operations, National Special Security Events (NSSE), and steady-state detection missions. Travel, extended hours, 24/7 shift work, weekends, holidays, and recall during contingency operations may be required. The Project Manager manages all personnel and performance, travel and Other Direct Costs (ODC) approvals, and provides operational oversight of the project. LocationFort Dix, NJ (Region 1)Herndon, VAIndianapolis, IN (Region 3)Portland, OR (Region 6) Job DescriptionProvide input for Technical Support Specialists (TSS), quarterly performance reviews and annual evaluations.Ensures that TSSs maintain proficiency in equipment, policies, standards, tactics, and procedures of the MDDP.Host routine meetings with TSSs to inform staff of policy or guidance changes, receive feedback on program operations, gather issues staff are facing, or any other items as necessary. Feedback will be provided back to federal program office.Shall conduct corrective actions on TSS staff including both full time and task-based support personnel if they are not maintaining proficiency in equipment, policies, standards, tactics, and procedures of the MDDP.Will have administrative access to equipment for DHS required systems, support equipment maintenance as needed, and support equipment inventory as needed.Provide CBRN operations support as needed including developing plans, procedures, logistics, and conducting detection activities including equipment checks, using equipment for detection, and reporting as needed.Uphold professional standards of the MDDP, in all communications and interactions with internal staff and external partners.Provide weekly, monthly, and yearly program status reports to the CWMD MDDP program office.Review and approve all travel authorizations and procurements, including ODCs prior to being forwarded to the MDDP federal program office for final approval.Available to perform 24/7 shift work, weekend and holidays to support CBRN national deployments QualificationsActive Secret Security ClearanceHave a Commercial Driver's License Class B (CDL B) or ability to obtain within 3 months following contract award20+ years operational CBRN experience including detection operations and logistics during national special security events (NSSE), events of significance to include Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Events, enhanced steady state, steady-state and surge operationsMinimum 5 years personnel leadership and management experienceAble to read, write, and speak English fluentlyProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for performance of dutiesAble to lift/carry equipment up to 50lbsVersed in authoritative documents as well as understanding how they are appliedAbility to Travel 50 - 75% during the year Equal OpportunityDAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
