We provide interpretations 24/7/365 with 1 hour STAT X-Ray turnaround.Job SummaryThe Veterinary Clinical Liaison (VCL) Manager is responsible for supervising the VCL Team and daily clinical workflows to ensure diagnostic imaging cases are coordinated accurately, efficiently, and within established service-level expectations. This role combines clinical expertise in veterinary teleradiology case management with operational leadership to ensure high-quality case preparation, strong client relationships with veterinary clinic partners, and consistent operational performance. The VCL Manager ensures the team maintains strict turnaround expectations, including 1-hour priority case response and 24-hour standard case delivery, while supporting quality control, staff development, and operational efficiency.Every effort has been made to ensure a complete job description. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position especially where the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for the role.Essential Job FunctionsClinical & Operational OversightOversee daily clinical liaison workflow to ensure cases are processed accurately and within established turnaround times.Apply veterinary clinical knowledge when reviewing case escalations or quality concerns.Monitor case queues and operational metrics to maintain service-level agreements (SLAs).Ensure diagnostic imaging submissions (radiographs, CT, MRI, ultrasound) are complete and prepared appropriately for radiologist interpretation.Serve as escalation point for complex case coordination issues.Staff Supervision & LeadershipManagement Duties Include, But Are Not Limited ToInterviewing, selecting, and onboarding VCL staffTraining and coaching employees on workflows and clinical standardsPlanning and directing employee work assignmentsEvaluating employee productivity, performance, and efficiencyAddressing employee concerns and complaintsProviding corrective coaching and discipline when necessaryMaking recommendations regarding hiring, advancement, and promotionManaging staffing coverage and workflow distributionQuality Control & Performance ManagementMaintain quality assurance standards for case preparation and documentationMonitor and audit team KPIs ensure turnaround time, case accuracy, workload, and communication responsiveness.Provide performance feedback and coaching to ensure consistent service delivery.Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and operational efficiency.Client Relationship ManagementSupport veterinary clinic partners by ensuring timely and accurate case coordination.Assist with resolving service concerns or client questions.Promote strong professional communication between clinical teams and radiologists.Additional Responsibilities And RequirementsSupports team involved in daily duties as neededProtecting the team from "organizational noise" to prevent distractionsMaintain reliable internet connectivity and remote work environmentTaking on ad-hoc, high-priority projects on an as needed basisAdditional duties in support of the organizationQualifications, Education, And ExperienceBachelor's degree preferred, Master's a preferredVeterinary technician certifications or credentials LVT, CVT, RVTPrior management experience minimum 5 years leading a clinical team in a veterinary setting, managing remote team preferredVTSDI preferredMinimum 15 years of veterinary clinical experienceExperience with proper radiographic techniques and exposure to advanced imaging modalities (Ultrasound, CT, MRI) required.Experience in veterinary emergency medicine, radiology, or diagnostic imaging workflowsStrong understanding of diagnostic imaging workflows (radiographs, CT, MRI, ultrasound)Extensive knowledge of anatomy, diagnostic imaging and veterinary medical terminologyTyping speed of 60 words per minute or fasterStrong attention to detail and ability to work under time-sensitive conditionsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Strong written and verbal communication skillsReliable internet bandwidth of 100-300 MbpsAlignment with Vets Choice Radiology's core values.Must thrive in a dynamic fast paced remote environment and operate with a sense of urgency.Cognitive and Physical DemandsContinuous computer-based case review and workflow monitoringHigh attention to detail in reviewing diagnostic submissionsManaging multiple workflows and operational prioritiesFrequent digital communication with veterinary clinics and internal teamsFast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and prioritization skillsContinuous written and digital communication with veterinary clinics and internal teamsRemote work requires reliable growth oriented leadership presence and accountability focused on stability and mature behavior from team.Advanced proactive workforce planningWorking ConditionsFully remote positionComputer-based work environment with high case volumeVCR provides required computer equipment and monitors and partial reimbursement for internet service.
