Our job is to support PE firms to ensure their portfolio companies have credible plans and the ability to execute and deliver financial outcomes.DescriptionPEPI - CFO Services - Senior DirectorOVERVIEW:A&M CFO Services work with private equity held portfolio companies and provide our clients with solutions to preserve and generate value for their businesses. Our job is to support PE firms to ensure their portfolio companies have credible plans and the ability to execute and deliver financial outcomes.CFO Services Provides the following pillar of services:Liquidity & Working Capital OptimizationStrategic Analytics & PlanningPerformance Measurement & ManagementBusiness TransformationAuxiliary Services: Accounting RemediationPROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS:Hypothesis / Scope DevelopmentConnect with Private Equity and client's Executive team to facilitate information gathering and ensure all relevant data are considered and pursuedAssess critical issues given the organizational challenges and identify a path forward for the clientChallenge analyses and conclusions to ensure they are complete, accurate, fact-based, and reflective of the situationIdentify holes in analyses that lead to a disconnect between solution recommendation and resultsApply industry and functional knowledge identify business drivers and issuesAbility to understand the sources and drivers of value creation within the industry and companyProject Management and ImplementationDevelop complex business improvement plans and lead all projects independentlyDeliver on Private Equity focused initiatives (Interim Management Roles, Liquidity Management, Business Transformation, Performance Improvement, and Accounting Remediation)Proactively manage client's expectations, risk management; maintain and develop client relationships for long term opportunitiesConvince senior management and board members key business focus, obtain buy in of implementation plansAnticipates risks and obstacles, and be vigilant and diligent about reassessing issues and risks as plans and approach changeIdentify finance and accounting weakness in the organization and provide remediation going forwardLeadershipApply industry expertise pragmatically to engage in developing and delivering creative solutionsTake accountability for both client relationship management and team deliverablesDrive client and team to a sense of urgency relative to critical issuesAssign appropriate resources, removes barriers, and monitor project outcomesFinancial AcumenExperience in the role of CFO with a track record of driving and delivering value to the businessExperience in the role of Controllership, Finance and Accounting Advisory ServicesACCREDIDATION /EXPERIENCE:Graduate of accredited 4-year college / university with educational concentration in relevant areas (accounting, finance, economics) preferred but not requiredOver 12 years of experience related to: Accounting / Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking or Private EquityPrior experience as CFO in Private Equity Backed Portfolio Companies preferredPossess a track record of successfully delivering complex projects, lead holistic performance improvement projectsComplete proficiency in understanding financial models, data analytics, and presentation skillsCPA, CFA, MBA, or Master's Degree Preferred but not Required/The salary range is $175,000-$275,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
