In this role you will support operational testing of various types of security equipment located in the nation's airports. Data collection tasks may include manual data collection using mobile handheld technologies, downloading data stored on security equipment, conducting operator interviews, timing of processes/procedures, evaluating vendor/contractor-provided training, and providing daily input of activities to site lead(s) in a timely manner. Duties may also include passing through security equipment to test equipment and/or procedures. Candidates can be located anywhere throughout the United States near a major airport to be considered for this position. This is an on call position for surge support. You must be able and willing to travel up to 3 months at a time as needed.ResponsibilitiesSupport operational testing of security equipment located at airports.Collect data under the supervision of a site lead, shift lead, or experienced data collector.Download data from security equipment and perform manual data collection using mobile handheld technologies.Conduct operator interviews, time processes/procedures, evaluate vendor/contractor-provided training, and provide daily input of activities to site leads in a timely manner.Assist with passing through security equipment to test equipment and/or procedures as needed.Remain available for on-call surge support with travel as required.QualificationsHigh School diploma + 2 years relevant experience or Associate + 0 years as stated.Collects data under the supervision of a site lead, shift lead, or experienced data collector.Reviews collected data to adjudicate any anomalies identified by the site lead/data analysis personnel.Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work well with others in a team.Professional appearance and demeanor.Maintains responsible, dependable behavior and professional focus in potentially stressful environments with alarms, machinery, crowds, and hard deadlines.Ability to stand for long periods during an 8-hour shift.100% travel required; each trip may last 2 weeks to 3 months.Willingness to travel to various locations throughout the US for the duration of the assignment.Ability to lift 50 fort in tight spaces and ability to climb stairs and ladders and walk across catwalks as needed.Ability to obtain DHS suitability.Clearance must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.Salary Target salary range Up to $40,000.
