GPS Impact is hiring a seasonal, full-time Senior Media Planner and Buyer to join our growing Paid Media Team. This position can be remote (pending location approval) or based in one of our physical office locations including, Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC. This is a seasonal position and will end on December 31, 2026.We are a full-service public affairs and multimedia advertising agency with broad experience helping progressive candidates, advocacy groups, and organizations use integrated, strategic communications and advertising to achieve their goals. We aim for a work environment of inclusion where individuals can contribute fully and feel valued, engaged and supported to reach their full potential.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Developing comprehensive digital media plans to help progressive candidates and causes achieve persuasion, and mobilization goalsExecuting paid media buys across platforms including but not limited to Meta, Google (Search and YouTube), and programmatic DSPsUse voter file data (e.g., VAN, TargetSmart, L2) and third-party audience segments to inform targeting strategiesOptimizing campaigns in real-time to maximize impact for key KPIs, including but not limited to reach, engagements, and conversionsMonitor pacing and performance, producing detailed reports/ dashboards and insights both internally and client-facingManaging and engaging with vendors and trusted partners to plan and deliver on digital media plansStrategizing and collaborating with internal teams to identify how paid media can add value for GPS clientsThinking creatively about recommended tactics, looking for patterns in performance, and speaking up when an opportunity presents itselfProviding feedback and guidance on media plans developed by Media Planners and Buyers, mentoring, and helping train new staffWriting ad copy for paid search campaignsREQUIREMENTS:3+ years of experience buying and planning digital mediaProficiency in key ad platforms: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, YouTube, and at least one DSPStrong analytic and reporting skills using platform dashboards and custom reporting toolsPrior experience working in data platforms such as L2, TargetSmart, and VANHave strong quantitative skills and experience in Excel and SheetsBe highly organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesHave the ability to work well independently as well as with othersHave a positive attitude, desire to lead, and excellent time management skillsDemonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, both for internal and external communicationUnderstand the complexities of political communication and have experience building digital media programs to solve problemsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Prior digital planning and buying experience in the political verticalGenuine interest in political advertising and understanding of digital media landscapeExperience in ASANA or other project management toolsExperience in reporting tools such as TapClick, Datorama, or othersINSTRUCTIONSTo apply, please email a cover letter and resume to .
