Job Title Adjunct Faculty, Applied Behavior Analysis Program CSOE (Remote Teaching Position) Position Summary The Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an 18"‘month program designed for working adults. The ABA Program mission is to prepare students to be professionally competent, compassionate, ethical practitioners of applied behavior analysis who work with individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Adjunct Faculty are scholars and professionals who teach in their area(s) of specialization and expertise. The primary affiliation of adjunct faculty is not with the university. Specific Courses (Winter Term 2025) ABA60040: Behavioral Skill Assessments & Evidence-Based InstructionDescription: Introduces common behavior analytic skill assessments and instructional strategies for individuals with disabilities. Students learn to assess strengths and needs and to deliver evidence"‘based instructional strategies based on assessment results. ABA60050: Functional Behavior Assessments & Interventions for Safety"‘Related BehaviorsDescription: Provides information about functional behavior assessment and intervention strategies to reduce safety"‘related behaviors (e.g., aggression, self"‘harm, elopement) and increase positive behavioral repertoires. Specific Courses (March Term 2026) ABA60020: Behavior Measurement and Research Methods in Applied Behavior AnalysisDescription: Covers basic behavior measurement and research methodologies with an emphasis on single"‘case research designs. Students develop competence in measurement, graphic representation, and data"‘based decision making and learn about socially valid research and human subjects protection. ABA60030: Ethics & Professionalism in Applied Behavior AnalysisDescription: Addresses the ethical and professional practice of applied behavior analysis, including the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts® and other cultural, legal, and professional considerations. Specific Courses (May Term 2026) ABA60000: Theory & Philosophy of Behavior AnalysisDescription: Examines the historical, theoretical, and philosophical foundations of behaviorism and behavior analysis. ABA60010: Basic Principles of BehaviorDescription: Explores basic principles of behavior and their application to reduce unsafe behaviors, promote skill acquisition, foster self"‘determination, and improve quality of life within diverse cultural contexts. ABA60040: Behavioral Skill Assessments & Evidence-Based InstructionDescription: Same as Winter Term course. ABA60050: Functional Behavior Assessments & Interventions for Safety"‘Related BehaviorsDescription: Same as Winter Term course. Starting Pay $39 per hour Minimum Qualifications Education: Doctoral or Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, ABA, or a related field from an accredited institution. Experience: At least three (3) years of experience as a School Psychologist. Preferred experience as an Educational Psychologist through the BBS (LEP). Skills Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and be self"‘motivated. High level of accuracy and attention to detail; strong problem"‘solving skills. Ability to explain complex requirements clearly and concisely. Flexibility with workflow to meet departmental and student needs and manage multiple tasks within deadlines. Drive to encourage, direct, hold accountable, and guide candidates toward task completion. Effective teamwork and interpersonal relationship building with students and Alliant employees. Cultural humility and ability to communicate with diverse individuals. Highly motivated, focused, and results"‘oriented. Duties & Responsibilities Design graduate"‘level ABA courses that align with program learning outcomes and the BACB 6th Edition Test Outline Content. Develop syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments that reflect adult learning principles and best online teaching practices. Create asynchronous learning content. Collaborate with the Program Director, instructional designers, and other faculty to ensure high quality, consistent course content. Ensure all course content upholds professional and ethical requirements of the behavior analytic community. Supervisory Responsibility Direct Reports: direct Reports: None. Contact Responsibility Internal: Interacts with Program Director to receive support and guidance throughout the instructional term. Primary communication is between Adjunct Faculty and currently enrolled candidates.External: None. Primary Work Location, Hours & Travel Requirements Location: Remote.Hours: N/A.Travel: None. Work Environment This is a fully remote position; faculty choose their own environment to teach in. Physical Requirements Regular sitting, mobility, keyboarding, regular reading of print and digital material, and all other activities required to perform essential functions.
