Senior Solutions Engineer Department: Solutions Engineering Employment Type: Full Time Location: Remote Description The Senior Solutions Engineer is a senior, customer-facing technical leader responsible for designing, articulating, and delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions for midmarket and enterprise customers. This role blends deep technical expertise with creativity, strategic thinking, and a strong customer-centric mindset to help organizations solve real-world security challenges using DeepSeas's products and services. As a trusted advisor, the Sr. Solutions Engineer partners closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive complex deals, influence product direction, contribute to technical excellence across the organization, and represent DeepSeas as a thought leader in the cybersecurity space. This role is expected to operate with a strong degree of independence, demonstrate sound judgement, and continuously build knowledge across the cybersecurity landscape. Key Responsibilities Customer & Solution Support Act as the technical lead for complex midmarket and enterprise opportunities, owning solution architecture from discovery through post-sale. Translate customer business, operational, and security requirements into scalable, secure, and differentiated technical solutions. Serve as a trusted technical advisor to security, IT, and executive stakeholders, providing guidance on architecture, integrations, best practices, and long"‘term strategy. Deliver high-impact technical presentations, product demonstrations, architecture reviews, and proofs of concept to diverse audiences. Identify technical risks early and proactively design mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes. Sales & Go"‘To"‘Market Partnership Partner closely with Sales to shape solution strategy, support opportunity qualification, business and technical discovery, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and assist with deal closure. Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and long"‘term customer value realization. Support strategic accounts and lighthouse customers where technical credibility and innovation are critical. Enablement & Team Development Create and deliver training, enablement content, and presentations to strengthen the Solutions Engineering team's technical depth and consistency. Contribute enablement materials and technical content to the broader go"‘to"‘market organization, including Sales, Customer Success, and Partners. Share best practices, lessons learned, and reusable solution patterns with peers. Contribute to the improvement of Solutions Engineering processes, tools, and documentation. Thought Leadership & Market Presence Collaborate with Marketing on technical content such as blog posts, webinars, whitepapers, and other customer"‘facing materials. Represent DeepSeas professionally in customer"‘facing and external settings as needed. Stay deeply informed on industry trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies, and translate insights into customer value and internal guidance. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work cross"‘functionally with Product and Engineering to provide field feedback that helps improve products and customer outcomes. Maintain deep expertise in DeepSeas offerings while continuously expanding knowledge of adjacent technologies and security domains. Proactively communicate and share information with internal teams and leadership. Skills Knowledge and Expertise 4+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Consulting Services, or a similar customer"‘facing technical role. Demonstrated success supporting midmarket and enterprise customers in complex, multi"‘stakeholder environments. Strong understanding of modern security architectures, cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, and security best practices. Proven ability to design creative, practical solutions to real"‘world cybersecurity problems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to executive and highly technical audiences. Experience creating technical training, enablement materials, and customer"‘facing content. Natural curiosity and a strong drive for continuous learning and self"‘improvement. Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and prioritize multiple initiatives effectively. Must be able to understand job duties and responsibilities, have the necessary skills/knowledge and be willing and able to continue learning and growing within the field. Ideal candidates also bring: 4+ years supporting, delivering, or designing enterprise IT systems, security focused systems OR as a technical lead for an internal Information Security program. Experience scoping cybersecurity assessments such as risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, and penetration tests. Fluency in security frameworks such as NIST 800"‘171, 800"‘53, CSF, ISO 27000, CIS Critical Security Controls, GLBA Safeguards Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, ISO27K, PCI DSS, SOC2, FISMA, etc. Technical experience in Networking, Security, Identity Management, Cloud Services, and Windows/Linux/Mac, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN. Knowledge of security ecosystem - such as EDR, SIEM, SOAR, Firewalls, VPNs, DNS, vulnerability management, asset management, threat hunting solutions and applications (Where they fit in, what they do, what logs they create, how organizations use them, etc.). Expertise in leading RFP responses and preparing/delivering complex client proposals. Certifications: CISSP, CGRC, GRCP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, OSCP or other relevant certifications helpful but not required. Why DeepSeas?
