OverviewOur client, a global Am Law firm, is seeking an IP Legal Assistant to support its patent prosecution practice. This role will work closely with 2-3 IP Partners and Senior Attorneys and play a key role in managing filings, deadlines, and overall portfolio support. This is a non-billable role.LocationsThis position may be based in any of the following offices:PhoenixSeattleCandidates must be local to one of the above markets.Work SchedulePrimarily remote with occasional in-office requirements as neededCandidates must reside within commuting distance of a listed officeInitial onboarding may include limited in-office time depending on team needsCompensation$49.45 - $65.52 per hourEquivalent to $96,427 - $127,764 annually based on a 37.5-hour work weekCompensation dependent on experience and geographic marketKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file provisional, non-provisional, and PCT patent applicationsDraft and file formal documents including assignments, declarations, and powers of attorneyManage and track U.S. and foreign patent prosecution deadlines and docket activityPrepare and file responses to office actions, restriction requirements, and related filingsDraft client correspondence regarding application status, filings, and updatesPrepare information disclosure statements (IDS) and supporting documentationCoordinate with vendors for drawings, translations, and certified documentsConduct USPTO research and retrieve filing informationSupport all aspects of patent portfolio managementAssist with conflict checks, new matter openings, and engagement documentationProvide administrative support including time entry, expense reports, and billing coordinationRequired QualificationsLaw firm experience requiredPatent prosecution experience requiredHands-on USPTO filing experience requiredDirect experience filing PCT applications required (not just preparation)Strong knowledge of USPTO rules, processes, and filing requirementsExperience managing patent prosecution dockets and deadlinesAdministrative support experience within a patent prosecution practiceAbility to work independently and proactively manage attorney workflowStrong organizational, communication, and writing skillsAdditional NotesParalegals will be considered only if they have strong administrative patent prosecution experienceThis is a non-billable role focused on administrative and filing supportExperience3+ years of patent prosecution support experience in a law firm #J-18808-Ljbffr
