In this role, as a Software Engineering Manager, you will manage at least two strong scrum teams of software engineers and quality engineers. You will mentor and drive your teams while partnering with Product Owners, other Engineering Managers, and Architects to deliver company initiatives. Key Responsibilities Partner with product and business stakeholders to align on team priorities and roadmaps. Lead the design and on"‘time delivery of highly available microservices and frontend applications. Drive architectural improvements, scalability, and platform consistency across our integration ecosystem. Own observability, health, uptime, performance, and security of services and frontend apps under your team's care. Establish and evolve production support processes, including on"‘call rotations, monitoring, incident response, and RCA. Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and team cohesion. Provide clear goals, timely feedback, and professional growth opportunities tailored to individual team members. Enforce Agile principles and methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. 8+ years of development experience. 2+ years of management experience with full"‘time Software Engineers. Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices frameworks. A good understanding of web technologies, UI frameworks, and event"‘driven architectures. Hands"‘on experience mentoring software engineers on Auth0, SSO, Sparkpost or other email systems, Twilio or SMS systems, Kafka, Redis, Hibernate, and other modern technologies. Experience with relational databases. Experience building teams; managing, mentoring, and coaching to grow careers. Good knowledge of tracking and setting goals to improve quality and efficiency. Great communication skills. Nice to Have Skills Experience in the warranty, insurance, fintech, or e"‘commerce domains. Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, API gateway.
