PracticeCFO is a privately owned, rapidly growing financial advisory firm that serves independent dental practice owners as a fiduciary. We are currently seeking to grow our team with a Senior Tax Associate. This person can work from anywhere. This individual will help the team in preparation of partnership, S-Corporation and personal tax returns, develop associates, respond to notices from tax authorities and interact with clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a broad and unique combination of skills. Responsibilities Understand and execute preparation of partnership, S-Corporation, and personal tax returns Be able to review and manage returns prepared by staff Identify outstanding items and manage information collection process by communicating with clients via email and phone Help develop associates by being available to answer questions and participate in training opportunities Demonstrate an understanding of federal tax laws and ability to research authoritative sources Research and respond to notices from tax authorities Work with CFO teams to hone in on and execute tax planning and cash flow priorities Interact with other departments to advise on any changes needed Requirements Ability to take extreme ownership of assigned projects. Self-motivated and always looking to improve. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field CPA license 3-4 years of tax preparation experience Knowledge of standard depreciation methods and lives Familiarity with S-Corp basis rules Understand the impact of business sales as a sale of assets. Great internal and external communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and execute between multiple projects.
