The Creative Studio is Anthropic's in-house creative team responsible for the brand expression across Anthropic and Claude. The stakes are real, and there's room to shape what all this becomes.As a Video Director for Product Launches at Anthropic, you will own the creative vision and execution of video content for our most important moments: model launches and product reveals. You/u2019ll lead the full production lifecycle from concept to delivery, bringing a storyteller/u2019s instinct to complex technical subjects and crafting narratives that make transformative AI feel accessible and compelling. This role operates in a fast-paced environment where launch timelines move quickly and turnarounds are tight. You/u2019ll need to make sharp creative decisions without the luxury of extended development cycles, pivoting when priorities shift, moving from brief to execution with speed, and delivering high-quality work under real pressure. You/u2019re someone who can walk into a room, understand what a launch needs to communicate, and build a video strategy around it thend execute it at the highest level. You lead crews with confidence, guide collaborators through ambiguity, and know how to get great work across the finish line even when the timeline is short.ResponsibilitiesDirect and oversee video production for model and product launches, from initial creative brief through final delivery, often on compressed timelinesDevelop creative concepts, treatments, and narrative strategies that translate complex AI capabilities into compelling, human-centered storiesLead and manage production crews on set, including DPs, camera operators, sound, lighting, and other crew membersPartner with marketing, product, and communications teams to align creative direction with launch goals and messagingGuide post-production workflows, providing creative direction to editors, colorists, and sound designersIdentify the story worth telling within a launch, taking raw elements, context, and product details and crafting a cohesive narrative arcBuild and maintain scalable production processes that can flex to meet the pace of Anthropic/u2019s launch cadenceStay current with video production trends, launch formats, and storytelling techniques in the technology and AI spaceYou may be a good fit if you6+ years of professional video directing or production experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to lead high-impact launches or campaignsHave experience directing at a SaaS or AI company, or have worked as part of an in-house creative team in a fast-paced technology environmentAre a skilled storyteller who can take disparate elements, such as product features, brand positioning, and customer impact, and shape them into a compelling narrativeHave proven experience leading production crews on set and are comfortable owning creative decisions under time and budget pressureThrive under tight turnarounds and can maintain creative quality when timelines are compressedUnderstand the full filmmaking process, from pre-production through delivery, and can provide informed direction at every stageAre an excellent communicator who can articulate creative vision clearly to both production teams and non-technical stakeholdersAre proactive and calm under pressure, bringing clarity to ambiguity and keeping productions moving even when priorities shiftAre excited about the challenge of making AI launches feel meaningful to a broad audienceStrong candidates may also haveHands-on experience as a director of photography or camera operatorEditing experience and comfort working directly in post-productionExperience directing launch videos, keynote content, or product announcement filmsBackground working with technical or complex subject matter and making it accessible on screenFamiliarity with motion graphics, animation, or mixed-media storytelling techniquesKnowledge of different delivery formats and platform requirements (web, social, events, broadcast)Experience building or scaling a video production function from the ground upCompensation and logisticsAnnual Salary $200,000$255,000 USDEducation requirements: We require at least a Bachelor/u2019s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.
