OverviewTrueline's client, a well established California law firm with deep roots in real estate litigation, is seeking a Senior Real Estate Litigation Attorney to work remotely across San Diego, Riverside & San Bernardino counties. This role offers substantial autonomy, client-facing leadership, and a clear track to firm equity participation.As a Senior Real Estate Litigation Attorney, you?ll drive our litigation matters from intake through appeal, build relationships, and help grow the firm's footprint in the real estate sector.What You'll Do as the Senior Real Estate Litigation AttorneyLead all phases of real estate litigation: case evaluation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, settlement negotiation, and appealsStrategize and execute favorable resolutions"”whether by motion or trial"”for complex real estate disputesResearch, advise, and counsel on intricate real estate statutes, regulations, and transactional risk as they intersect with litigationDraft, review, and negotiate key legal documents associated with real estate litigation (e.g. purchase agreements, easements, title disputes, boundary conflicts)Drive business development efforts by cultivating referral sources, networking with property owners, real estate developers, brokers, and other property & casualty stakeholdersMentor junior attorneys or paralegals where applicable, and collaborate with colleagues on firm strategyMust HavesJuris Doctor degree and active membership in good standing with the California State BarMinimum 4 years of dedicated experience in real estate litigation in CaliforniaDemonstrated success in managing matters from inception to resolution (motions, trials, appeals)Strong analytical, oral advocacy, and legal-writing skillsAbility to juggle multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and deliver high-quality client serviceIndependent self-starter with ambition for business developmentDetail-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous professional growthExperience working remotely, reliably, and autonomouslyWillingness to spend ~75% of the time in the defined geographic market focusing on client developmentNice-to-HavesAn existing book of real estate litigation business (or the ability to absorb one)Experience in real estate-adjacent litigation (e.g. title insurance disputes, boundary, easement, land use)Prior success in generating new business via relationships with developers, brokers, or regional attorneysFamiliarity with California title law, CEQA, real property regulation, and land-use litigationOur Client OffersCompetitive base salary (approx. $140,000 to $175,000, depending on experience)Commission or bonus opportunities tied to originated matters and business growthA business development stipend to facilitate conferences, networking, and client outreachFlexible remote work (no return to office) with firm-allocated paralegal supportTargeted billable range of 1,500-1,800 hours per yearClear pathway to equity partnership, with transparent KPIs to maintain equity statusTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
