The League of Amazing Programmers is a 501(c)(3) after-school institution that teaches Java to kids in grades 5 through 12. The League was founded to address the growing need for computer programming skills in the United States, where millions of programming jobs are projected to remain unfilled. Our curriculum culminates in preparation for the Oracle Professional Certification Exam, giving students a competitive edge in their future studies and careers. We are committed to reaching more girls and underserved youth in San Diego County, ensuring that all children have access to the skills and education needed to thrive in the 21st"‘century workforce. We're looking for passionate tech professionals to help us design and refine a mentorship program for high"‘school and early"‘college students. This is a virtual, low"‘commitment advisor role aimed at learning how your company engages with students and early"‘career professionals. Your insights will help create new internship and apprenticeship opportunities for our students. What you'll do Participate in a one"‘hour interview to discuss how your software, technology, or engineering company involves, or could involve, students in internships or apprenticeships.
