Document Processing Specialist

We are looking for a Document Processing Specialist based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a software company based in San Ramon, California.Our client provides cloud solutions trusted by governments across the globe to accelerate their digital transformation, deliver vital services, and build stronger communities.ResponsibilitiesImplement Azure-based document processing pipelines for PDF creation, manipulation, and analysis.Implement advanced PDF workflows using iText and PDFTron (generation, stamping, annotations, SVG to PDF annotations conversion, redaction, forms, merging, splitting, digital signatures).Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET backend services running in Azure.Build scalable, fault-tolerant services using Azure components such as: App Services and AKS, Azure Blob Storage and queues, Azure SQL / Cosmos DB.Optimize performance and memory usage for large PDFs and high-throughput workloads.Handle real-world edge cases including malformed files, font issues, internationalization, and accessibility.Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues using Azure diagnostics and logging tools.Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and mentor engineers on cloud and document-processing best practices.RequirementsAdvanced Level of English.3+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-native systems within Microsoft Azure.Proven hands-on experience working with iText and PDFTron in production environments.Deep understanding of PDF internals (fonts, annotations, AcroForms, metadata, security) with the ability to interpret and apply the PDF specification.Solid understanding of the SVG format and SVG transformations.Experience building APIs and microservices that process files or large binary data.Experience working with Java, Python or C# and .NET, with the ability to design and deliver production-grade backend services.Strong knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and resiliency patterns in distributed cloud environments.Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.Experience working with PDF/A, PDF/UA, and accessibility compliance standards.Knowledge of digital signatures, certificates, and secure document workflow implementations.Experience with OCR solutions and document analysis pipelines.Bonus PointsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields.Experience with high-volume or batch document processing in Azure.Exposure to frontend PDF rendering or annotation workflows.Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments.What we offerLong term pensation in USD.Paid time off.Cool clients and products.Work with great engineers.4tech #J-18808-Ljbffr
