Are you a detail-driven professional with a passion for renewable energy and a desire to be at the heart of the action? We are seeking a site-based Commercial Contract Manager to oversee a project contract during the pre-construction and execution phases. The role is responsible for the administration of EPC contracts in partnership with project leadership, including risk identification and management during project execution, contributing to pre-construction activities and negotiations, and coordinating with site leadership, Commercial, and Legal teams to monitor and manage contractual terms, draft notices, and administer change orders. Location & Travel Details Potential placement on a project site in any U.S. state, with travel across the country. Projects typically last 12"‘18 months on average. The position includes a designated daily per diem and base pay, with routine travel home (rotation) from the job site. Responsibilities Assist the project team in administering project contracts, including drafting client notices for force majeure, owner-caused delays, and other contractual matters. Help deliver a key contract terms review after award and before mobilization. Draft contractual notices to subcontractors and suppliers regarding performance and other execution matters. Participate in regular project team meetings and proactively engage with the project team. Advise the Project Manager on contractual change requirements, monitor and track changes and claims through final resolution. Support the Project Manager, project team, and insurance team in administering, tracking, documenting, and closing insurance claims. Support project closeout to ensure all contractual requirements are met, including administration of certificates and warranties. Capture contractual lessons learned during project execution and report them at the Close Out Phase Gate. Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience. At least 5"¯years of recent experience in construction contract management on large and complex projects ranging from $30"¯MM to $150"¯MM. More than 3"¯years of recent experience using construction management software. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Strong knowledge of construction contract requirements, change conditions, claims analysis, negotiations, change order cost estimates, and time impact analyses. Experience with Viewpoint, Procore, and Project Controls software. Subject"‘matter expertise in contract management principles and techniques. Understanding of common construction agreement provisions such as warranties, liability limits, risk of loss, schedule milestones, force majeure, and change orders. Ability to interpret difficult and complex contractual provisions. Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and meticulous attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel). Working Environment Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious areas, and extreme heat. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Typical noise level is loud.
