Volunteer Description:Join our Child Life team in bringing comfort, play, and joy to our youngest patients! Child Life Specialist Support Volunteers assist in creating a positive and healing environment for children and families in the hospital. This is our hands-on role working closely with our certified Child Life Specialist to support patients and staff on the pediatric units.Responsibilities:Clean and sanitize toys and play materials on pediatric units.Restock and organize toys, supplies, and activity areas.Engage children in age-appropriate play and activities.Provide comfort and companionship to patients, including holding infants during respiratory season.Assist with special events and holiday celebrations for pediatric patients.Support our Child Life Specialist with daily tasks and unit needs.Qualifications:Warm, compassionate, and comfortable interacting with children of all ages.Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality.Able to follow infection control procedures and hospital policies.Previous experience with children preferred.Must complete hospital volunteer orientation and health requirements.Schedule: Volunteers commit to one 4-hour shift per week, for a minimum of 6 months.No Additional Description AvailableLocation:Intermountain Health Logan Regional HospitalCity:LoganState:UtahIntermountain Health is an equal opportunity employer.
