Location: Boston, MA Type: Temporary Job #48745 Salary: $26.00 Job Overview - Behavioral Health Care Coordinator (Temporary) Compensation: $26 - $28/hour Location: Boston, MA (Remote) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Atlantic Group is hiring a Behavioral Health Care Coordinator (Temporary) in Boston, MA for our client, supporting prior authorization processing, data entry, and coordination of behavioral health services. This role manages high-volume requests, verifies eligibility, and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely authorization decisions. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, remote healthcare environment with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities as the Behavioral Health Care Coordinator (Temporary): Authorization Processing: Manage and prioritize behavioral health authorization and inpatient admission requests. Data Entry: Accurately enter and maintain case information within internal systems. Eligibility Verification: Confirm member eligibility and ensure compliance with processing requirements. Provider Communication: Follow up with providers to obtain and clarify clinical documentation. Case Coordination: Route cases appropriately to clinical teams for review and determination. Issue Resolution: Address escalated inquiries and ensure timely resolution of provider requests. Qualifications for the Behavioral Health Care Coordinator (Temporary): Education: Associate's degree in Healthcare, Social Work, or a related field required or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume healthcare or administrative environment required. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with behavioral health services, utilization review, or claims processing preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with experience in healthcare systems preferred. Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and customer service skills in a fast-paced setting.
