American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET Technologist) for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring NMTCB or ARRT certification and at least 1 year of experience.Job Details• Nuclear Medicine department within an 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital,• Performs PET/CT scans as the primary scope of work,• Siemens scanner equipment used,• Charting performed in Epic,• 5x8-hour day shifts with varying start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM and varying end times between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM,• Saturday shifts may be required when the camera is down or there is an excessive backlog of PET/CT scans,• No holiday coverage required,• No on-call requirement,• No floating to other service lines or sister facilities,Job Requirements• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine / PET Technologist experience,• Current BLS certification (AHA only),• NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification required,• NMTCB(CT), ARRT(R), or ARRT(CT) certification required,• South Carolina Radiation License (SCRQSA) in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required - license required if applicable,• Experience with Siemens scanner equipment required,• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience preferred,• SSN and valid Driver's License required for consideration,• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,• A personal radiation dosimetry badge is required - the facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers and the badge must be supplied prior to the assignment,Additional Information• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position,• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler,• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized,• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on the manager and unit's needs,• Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment,• Scrub colors are teal top and black pants,• Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 parking pass is required for nights and weekends,• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties, with peak activity occurring in August and September
