This role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency to support production goals.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and repair work in accordance with established safety and workmanship standardsEnsure all equipment operates safely and reliably to support production requirementsSet up, troubleshoot, and repair processing and packaging equipment, including conveyors, bagging systems, case erectors, check weighers, and barcode systemsDismantle and reassemble equipment to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubricationTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems (110/230/460V), including motors, starters, relays, timers, panels, breakers, conduit, and wiringRead and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation for troubleshooting purposesPerform minor troubleshooting and programming of PLCs and VFDsRespond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtimeEnsure all equipment is operational and production-ready prior to scheduled runsMaintain building systems in compliance with local, state, and fire safety regulationsFabricate parts and modify equipment as required to support operationsAdhere to all safety programs, including lockout/tagout and other established proceduresSupport training and development of maintenance and operations team membersMaintain compliance with SQF Food Safety Code and company quality standardsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment (USDA or FDA preferred)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentsExperience with PLCs and VFDs (troubleshooting and minor programming)Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility to work any shift as requiredInterested in hearing more?
