Grafted Design is a Los Angeles-based residential design studio working across single-family homes, ADUs, and small-scale residential development. As our project workload continues to grow, we are seeking an architectural designer to support ongoing projects and take a leading role in the production of construction document sets. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, understands residential construction documentation, and is interested in contributing to projects from design development through permitting and construction with a unique opportunity to grow along side the company's growth. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT REMOTE OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE WANTING EXPOSURE AND HANDS ON EXPERIENCE ON RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA. Responsibilities Produce, manage, and coordinate construction document sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details Research construction materials and systems Contribute to permitting, code analysis, and agency coordination Coordinate remotely with our team; occasional site visits may be required Participate in internal design critiques and workshops Role Details Part-time, flexible workload (approximately 40-60 hours per month) Hourly pay: $23-$27/hr, commensurate with experience Remote, with occasional in-person site visits Opportunity for expanded responsibility as workflow and collaboration develop Skills & Qualifications Professional degree in Architecture Experience in design and detailing projects through construction documentation and construction administration Proactive, quick learner, self starter Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required) Familiarity with Revit and/or SketchUp (preferred) Working knowledge of California residential codes and permitting processes is a strong plus Comfortable working independently and seeing constructions set through from inspection to delivery Location Ideally based in Los Angeles, but this unique remote opportunity can extend further to the California area #J-18808-Ljbffr
