Assignment Length: Ongoing coverage needStart Date: July 1Openings: 2Reason for Coverage: Long-term permanent searchPractice Setting: Inpatient coverageCases include: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Podiatry, EP, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy2-12 PPDLevel II trauma centerSchedule:Monday-Friday4 10-hour shifts, 7:00a-5:30pPatient Population: All agesEMR: CernerCredentialing: 60-120 daysRequirements:Active Pennsylvania licensureBoard certificationAHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certificationsMinimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalentTravel Benefits:If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full.Provided Travel Expenses:Round-trip flightRental car and fuelMileage reimbursement (in lieu of flight and rental car)LodgingJob Responsibilities (Generalized):Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain managementCollaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomesMonitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as neededRespond to emergencies and provide critical care interventionsMaintain accurate and complete medical recordsStay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing educationSkills:Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniquesStrong critical thinking and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a surgical teamExceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditionsStrong work ethic, stamina and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentEducation Requirements:Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA programLicenses & Certifications:Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Pennsylvania National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)Experience:While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia settingAdditional Notes:Locum tenens CRNA positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months, to fill staffing gaps in healthcare facilitiesThese positions offer competitive pay and flexible schedules, allowing CRNAs to pursue diverse work environments and control their workload
