This role supports production and tooling inspections and collaborates closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management teams. The position reports through the Quality organization and plays a key role in ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.Key Responsibilities:Program and operate CMM systems using PC-DMIS (required) and/or VerisurfDevelop inspection programs using 3D CAD models and 2D drawingsImprove existing inspection programs to increase efficiency and throughputInterpret and apply GD&T per ASME or ISO standards, including MBD requirementsCreate and complete First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102)Perform manual inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, functional gages, etc.)Conduct additional inspections as needed, including leak testingPrepare inspection plans and balloon drawings using inspection management softwareValidate parts to customer, industry, and internal specificationsCommunicate inspection results internally and with external customers as neededSupport audits and work with external inspectors and suppliersPerform CMM preventive maintenance and assist with gage calibrationSupport fixture design to ensure repeatable and reliable inspectionsParticipate in correlation studies and Gage R&R activitiesMaintain accurate inspection documentation and data entry in quality systemsMaintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free inspection environmentSafely operate overhead cranes to move parts and fixturesRequired Qualifications:3+ years of hands-on CMM programming and inspection experienceStrong proficiency with PC-DMIS (required)Experience inspecting tight-tolerance precision componentsAbility to inspect against 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawingsWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systemsSolid understanding of algebra and coordinate geometryProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departmentsTeam-oriented mindset with a strong work ethicPreferred Qualifications:Background in machining or manufacturing environmentsExperience in Aerospace and/or Defense manufacturingFamiliarity with Verisurf inspection softwareExperience supporting production parts or tooling inspectionsAbility to review 3D models using CAD platforms such as NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIAInterested in hearing more?
