The Boeing Company is looking for aMission Systems Lead SoftwareArchitectto join the Air Proprietary 2 Mission Systems team located inBerkeley, MO . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.The Mission Systems Lead Software Architect is responsible for establishing software architecture, guiding overall design, supporting its implementation, and managing/refining it during subsequent lifecycle phases. The architect will be the primary software technical point of contact for Mission Systems.This role will be responsible for all Mission Systems software across a variety of security levels, to include software developed by a variety of suppliers.This architect will help teams understand the compliance to software development, related standards, and policy enforcement based on software processes.This role will also coordinate with the Digital Engineering Environment team, Systems Engineering, Customers, and Program LeadershipPosition Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the Mission Systems software architecture roadmap and vision working with the Platform Software Architect and Mission Systems Chief ArchitectEnsures software teams develop, document, and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systemsSupports implementation of containerized software architecture across multiple types of hardwareEnsures compliance and supports policy enforcement for applicable processes, reference architectures, and industry standardsTracks and evaluates supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to roadmaps, industry standards and contractsEnsures development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software systemOversee software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software requirements are metPlans, executes, and documents, software research and development projectsResponsible for coordinating across the Mission Systems solution team, Supply Chain, the Digital Engineering Environment team, and Systems EngineeringTrains and mentor’s othersWorks under minimal directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor’s DegreeAbility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
