As a Collections Specialist at Valleywise Health, you'll do more than just manage accounts receivable"”you'll be a vital bridge between our world"‘class medical care and the patients we serve. Working under the guidance of our Credit and Collections leadership, you will protect the hospital's financial health by securing payments and establishing sustainable arrangements that work for everyone. Experience Minimum of one (1) year of progressively responsible billing and/or collections experience demonstrating a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Preferred experience in a hospital setting. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understand the content of the billing and services that the hospital offers and bills. Preferred knowledge of managed care contracts, commercial, work"‘comp, government, and self"‘pay collections. Effective verbal and written communication with patients and outside agencies. Understanding of healthcare billing guidelines. Organizational, time"‘management, and analytical skills. Strong system knowledge of HIS systems, Excel, Word, and Access database.
