Position Overview: The School of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, is excited to announce an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular Medicine . Join our expanding team and provide exceptional medical care primarily in our cardiology clinic setting. Key Responsibilities: • Independently provide professional medical support for Cardiovascular Medicine services. • Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to promote team-based patient care. • Educate patients and set treatment plans, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment accordingly. Act as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and demonstrate autonomy in the diagnosis and treatment of health problems. • Order/perform diagnostic procedures as needed. • Develop discharge plans and coordinate with care management. • Perform other duties as assigned.
