Required Skills: Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a surgical setting, with at least 2 years recent relevant experienceAbility to perform wound cauterization, vessel management, packing, positioning, clamps, sutures, and skin closuresProficiency in applying direct pressure, assisting with suction, drainage, irrigation, and achieving hemostasisSkilled in immobilizing patients on the operating tableStrong knowledge of surgical procedures including general, OB/GYN, and orthopedic specialtiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCurrent NY State Nurse Practitioner licenseBLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications from the American Heart AssociationNice to Have Skills: Robotics surgery experience highly preferredFamiliarity with EPIC charting system and automated medication dispensing (Pixys)Previous experience in Medical-Surgical Floor coverage and patient roundingAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Education and Experience: Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higherValid NY State Nurse Practitioner certificationMinimum of 2 years recent surgical or medical-surgical experienceOther Requirements: Availability to start on 06/09/2026Flexibility to cover scheduled shifts, including days, weekday call, weekend call, and possibly some on-call overnight shiftsAbility to work in a fast-paced, adult acute care setting with a patient ratio of 1:10-15Adherence to strict dress code, professional appearance, and infection control policiesCommitment to maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and high standards of patient safetyPayment rate of $131.32 per hourIf you are a highly skilled, motivated Nurse Practitioner ready to advance your career in surgical care, we encourage you to apply now.
