Location: Garland, TXStatus: Full-TimeSchedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, seven days a weekCompensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + bonusBenefits: Full benefits package availablePosition SummaryWe are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Garland, TX. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care settingManage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visitsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imagingPerform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management, as applicableClearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructionsDocument patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHRCode and bill services appropriatelyMaintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarksPractice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and valuesRequired QualificationsActive, unrestricted Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantPA: NCCPA certificationNP: ANCC or AANP certification, FNP requiredActive DEA license, or ability to obtainAbility to treat patients of all agesActive BLS certificationEHR proficiencyWillingness to work occasional weekends and holidaysDOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees coveredPreferred QualificationsPrior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experienceStrong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound careExperience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-readAbout NextCareNextCare is one of the nation s largest urgent care providers, serving communities with accessible, affordable, high-quality care across 160+ locations in 11 states.
