Ref #: C-LPN-Location: Pembroke, NC Start: ASAP Duration: 7 weeks Schedule: 07:00 AM-07:30 PM Rate: Travel $1,158/37 hoursWe're looking for a reliable Licensed Practical Nurse to join a team in Pembroke for a short-term contract. This role involves hands-on patient care in collaboration with RNs and physicians, so if you're organized, compassionate, and ready to step in quickly, we'd love to hear from you.What you'll needCurrent, active LPN license in your stateBLS certificationWhat you'll doProvide direct nursing care under RN or physician supervision: medication administration, wound care, vital sign checks, and other bedside duties.Perform focused patient assessments-review medical history, conduct physical checks, and help develop individualized care plans.Give medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols.Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds or surgical sites for signs of infection or complications.Track and document vital signs and changes in condition thoroughly and promptly.Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments, medications, and clinical observations.Teach patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care to promote recovery and wellness.Administer and monitor IVs and IV medications when required, ensuring lines are functioning and secure.Provide catheter care, including insertion support, routine maintenance, and monitoring for complications.Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing as directed.Work closely with the interdisciplinary team-RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff-to coordinate care.Assist with patient comfort and safety needs such as positioning, mobility support, and pain management.Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, applying basic life support and facility protocols.Follow strict infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use.Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations and facility policies.Support preventive care efforts (immunizations, screenings) and participate in health promotion activities.Advocate for patients' rights and help ensure they get the care and resources they need.Continue professional development-stay current with nursing best practices and required trainings.As needed, supervise CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel to help deliver safe, high-quality care.Perform other duties as assigned by management.If you're ready to join a team and provide focused, compassionate care for a seven-week assignment in Pembroke, apply with Ref #: C-LPN-.
