Physical Therapy job in Vallejo CA

Ref #: C-PT-We're looking for a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Vallejo, CA for a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows an 08:00 AM-04:30 PM schedule, seven days a week (Sun-Sat). Compensation: Travel pay at $2,121/35 hrs or Local at $2,090/35 hrs.What you'll do:Perform thorough physical assessments and review medical histories to understand each patient's needs.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.Create and update individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehab goals.Design and lead exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.Use hands-on techniques-joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching-to improve mobility and relieve pain.Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to reduce inflammation and encourage healing.Train patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.Develop pain-management strategies using exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of life.Continuously evaluate progress, document changes, and adjust plans to meet rehab goals.Provide clear home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.Uphold legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent and practice cultural sensitivity.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Requirements:Active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state.Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).If you're passionate about patient-centered care and want to make a measurable difference in recovery and independence, we'd love to hear from you.
