Job Description

Overview Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Manager - Landfill Gas OM&M to join our Landfill Gas (LFG) Operations, Maintenance and Monitoring (OM&M) Team in California. In this role, you will take a prominent role in the planning, operations and construction of biogas and LFG Collection and Control Systems (GCCS), solid waste handling and disposal facilities as well as other environmental projects. The candidate should be willing to work Pacific Standard (PST) Hours. You will work under the direction of Managers and Project Managers located throughout the company and across the country, and you may oversee and direct the activities of engineers, scientists, technicians, and clerical staff toward successful completion of projects. Although the selected individual will work from home, occasional site visits in California with direct client involvement will be required. The pay scale for this position is $90K-$140K annually, based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Manage LFG OM&M projects, schedules, and budgets effectively (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Billing) Manage and oversee field monitoring and sampling programs for Landfill Gas Collection and Control Systems, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance Lead proposal development, client engagement, and regulatory coordination Prepare proposals and meet with clients and regulators Manage all phases of projects from planning through construction/remediation, including quality control of drawings, plans, specifications, reports, and bid documents Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements Prepare and review permit applications for new site developments, modifications, and closures Oversee the development of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals Lead the design and review of biogas collection, leachate, stormwater/surface water management, and liner system designs Enforce and promote a culture of safe work practices Analyze and optimize system performance to meet operational and regulatory requirements Implement safe work practices Analyze systems based on operational objectives and regulatory compliance Travel to California for occasional site visits Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Geological or Environmental Engineering 3 to 6 years of experience in OM&M and/or Engineering Projects 1 to 3 years of experience in Project Management Civil Professional Engineering certification (Civil PE) in California is a plus 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is a plus Supervisory experience is a plus Willingness to work Pacific Standard (PST) hours Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical reports Write environmental reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Possess excellent overall communication skills Experience with biogas and landfill gas systems and solid waste industry is a plus Proven technical skills in design and/or construction Ability to supervise technical and support staff and to provide leadership and mentoring to professional personnel Outstanding knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite, and PDF editors (Bluebeam or Adobe) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and unwavering personal integrity Solid organizational and time management skills Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment Valid driver's license Equal Opportunity and Contact Tetra Tech is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
