Working on the production floor during first shift, this individual will conduct inspections, document findings, and support the broader quality system in a highly regulated, precision manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, in process, and final inspections on flexible circuits, heaters, rigid flex assemblies, and associated componentsUse optical inspection equipment, microscopes, and precision measuring tools to verify product dimensions, workmanship, and conformance to printIdentify, document, and segregate nonconforming product and initiate appropriate disposition processesMaintain accurate and complete inspection records, traveler documentation, and quality logsSupport root cause analysis and corrective action activities in collaboration with engineering and production teamsAssist with IPC standard workmanship inspections and help maintain compliance with applicable quality certificationsParticipate in internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement efforts on the production floorUphold all safety, cleanliness, and quality system requirements throughout the shiftQualifications1 to 3 years of quality inspection or quality technician experience in a precision or electronics manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with flexible circuits, printed circuit boards, or electromechanical assemblies is a strong plusExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, or work instructionsComfortable using optical comparators, microscopes, calipers, and other standard inspection toolsWorking knowledge of IPC standards (IPC 6013, IPC A 610, or similar) is preferred but not requiredStrong attention to detail and a methodical, process oriented approach to workSolid written documentation skills and experience maintaining quality recordsAbility to work effectively in a fast paced, precision manufacturing environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field is a plusThis is a first shift, contract to hire opportunity located in the south Minneapolis metro area.
