Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob Location: Grand Rapids, MI- 49503Duration: 3+ months of Contract with possible extensionShift: Mon-Fri (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) CSTPosition Summary:The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping materials. This role also includes maintaining accurate records and entering data into the system.Key Responsibilities:Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materialsEnter all receipts into the materials management systemReport any shipment discrepancies to the Warehouse ManagerPrepare and process outbound shipments, including required documentationHandle returned goods according to company proceduresStore materials in designated areas and rotate stock based on receipt and expiration datesIdentify and report short-dated materials (less than 30 days to expiration)Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventorySupport order entry, picking, packing, and deliveries as neededAssist with record storage and mail distributionFollow all company policies, including safety and compliance guidelinesPerform other related duties as assignedEducation:High School Diploma or GED is requiredRequired Experience:At least 6 months of materials management or warehouse experience preferredData entry experience preferredSkills & Requirements:Basic math skillsStrong problem-solving abilitiesGood communication and organizational skillsComputer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry)Ability to use a barcode scanner, printer, and warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack)Ability to work well in a team environmentMust be able to lift up to 70 pounds
