IT Data Center Physical Infrastructure Planner

Under moderate supervision by the IT Data Center Planning Analyst III, perform data center physical infrastructure planning and design activities in the data center for equipment placement inside of the data center. The planner will design the physical location for the compute and storage infrastructure based on the strategy for row, cabinet, and U placement within the cabinet. The planner will evaluate and design based on the available power capabilities in the cabinet, cooling needs for equipment, network port needs, cabling infrastructure, and alignment to the strategy and structured cabling infrastructure. The planner communicates with both the facilities team installing the physical equipment and the hardware owners of the physical equipment to understand and validate the needs for network, power, and cooling in the design for equipment placement in the data center.
