Sticky Fingers Cooking® Part-Time Chef InstructorSummer Camps + After-School Enrichment | Monmouth, Middlesex, & Union CountiesSticky Fingers Cooking® is hiring part-time Chef Instructors to lead hands-on cooking classes for kids and older adults throughout our New Jersey service area. This is a field-based, mobile role. You travel to the venue. Locations range across central and north-central New Jersey, with summer assignments reaching as far as Jersey City and Newark.If you're energized by working with people of all ages, can commit to a flexible and variable weekly schedule, and want to do meaningful work that gets you out of the office, keep reading.What you'll doLead hands-on cooking classes for groups of 8-16 participants, following provided curriculum and recipes. Manage setup, instruction, and breakdown at each venue. Shop for and transport ingredients and supplies as needed. Adapt facilitation style across age groups. Represent Sticky Fingers Cooking professionally at every location.Who you are Available at least 2-3 days per week with a genuinely flexible schedule, including weekdays during summer Comfortable traveling throughout central and north-central New Jersey; reliable transportation required Confident managing groups of 8-16 participants independently Comfortable working with kids Able to commit to multi-week program runs, not single one-off dates Able to lift and transport up to 30 lbs of equipment and supplies ServSafe Food Handler certified or willing to obtain before first class Able to pass state and FBI background checks What we offerStandard rate is $60 per hour class. Camp day rates vary by format, generally $100-$150 per 3-hour class. All equipment, recipes, curriculum, and training are provided. There is no kitchen required at any venue.We welcome our summer camp instructors to stay on board to teach our after-school enrichment classes during the school year!QUALIFICATIONSAccess to reliable transportation Ability to communicate with our team in a timely manner Punctual and reliable No professional cooking experience required Experience working with kids of varying ages is a plus!What the work looks likeYou'll travel to schools, community centers, libraries, recreation departments, and senior facilities to deliver structured, curriculum-based cooking classes. We provide all recipes, lesson plans, equipment, ingredients, and training. You provide reliability, energy, and the ability to manage a group.During the school year, most classes run after school (typically 2-5 PM). Summer programming shifts to daytime, multi-hour camp formats with full weekdays. Scheduling varies week to week.
