This role is fully onsite and focuses on the installation, maintenance, and support of voice, data, and video telecommunications systems. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute installations, transitions, and cutovers of network componentsInstall, operate, and maintain telecommunications circuits and equipmentInstall fiber optic and copper cabling, communication racks, patch panels, and telecom wiringTest voice and data circuits using advanced diagnostic toolsTroubleshoot telecommunications systems and coordinate with vendors for support and repairsSupport the operation and maintenance of voice, data, and video communication systemsAssist in network analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenancePerform performance testing, system modifications, and repairs for wireless and telecom systemsIntegrate multiple technical disciplines into cohesive telecommunications solutionsResearch and recommend new technologies to improve system performance and reliabilityRequired QualificationsEducation: Associate degree in a related fieldOR 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of degreeCertifications: CompTIA Security+ (required)Experience: 3+ years of experience in network performance analysis3+ years of telecommunications maintenance experienceExperience maintaining vendor relationships and recommending system improvementsTechnical SkillsExperience with Cisco networking equipment, including 6500 series Layer 3 switchesStrong knowledge of voice, data, and video telecommunications systemsHands-on experience with fiber optic and copper cabling installationsAbility to test and troubleshoot circuits using diagnostic equipmentSkilled in identifying faults and performing minor equipment repairsCore CompetenciesAbility to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise telecommunications systemsStrong problem-solving and diagnostic skillsAbility to ensure reliability and performance of telecom infrastructureEffective communication and coordination with vendors and internal teams
