SQL DBA/Developer with Security Clearance

Title: SQL DBA / DeveloperClient: DoD OIG (Department of Defense- Office of Inspector General)Location: Alexandria, VA Clearance Required: Active DoD SecretPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA/Developer with strong database development and administration expertise. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing complex SQL queries, managing SQL Server environments, and supporting mission-critical systems in a secure DoD environment.Key Responsibilities• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.• Develop, modify, and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers.• Troubleshoot performance issues using SQL Profiler and other monitoring tools.• Analyze and resolve deadlocks and blocking issues.• Create and manage SQL Server Agent jobs.• Perform SQL Server installation and configuration, including instance setup.• Implement and maintain STIG compliance (Security Technical Implementation Guides).• Manage database backup and restore operations.• Configure and support SQL Server Always On / Availability Groups.• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.Required Qualifications• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA/Developer.• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022 preferred).• Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.• Hands-on experience with STIG implementation in DoD environments.• Experience managing high-availability solutions (Availability Groups).• Active DoD Secret clearance (required).• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
