You will play a key role during the initial deployment phase, supporting infrastructure bring-up, commissioning, and operational readiness. As the data center transitions into steady-state operations, you will take ownership of site performance, team execution, and operational consistency.This position combines technical depth with operational leadership, requiring a leader who is comfortable being on the floor solving problems while also setting priorities, coordinating work, and driving accountability across the team.You will work closely with cross-functional infrastructure teams, vendors, and stakeholders, making clear and professional communication in English (written and verbal) essential for success in this role.This role offers continuity across both deployment and operational phases and is part of a broader program focused on building a stable, high-performing infrastructure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On Operations LeadershipActively participate in daily data center operations, including monitoring, configuration, and break/fix activitiesServe as the primary escalation point while directly contributing to incident resolution and root cause analysis (RCA)Lead by example in maintaining uptime, operational discipline, and service delivery standardsWork alongside technicians and engineers to ensure efficient execution of all on-site activitiesOperational OwnershipOwn end-to-end site operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and efficiency across infrastructure systemsOversee vendor and colocation activities, remaining directly engaged in execution and issue resolutionMaintain accountability for incident tracking, resolution, reporting, and continuous improvement initiativesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and engineersSet priorities, coordinate daily work, and ensure alignment with operational objectivesFoster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and high performanceCapacity Planning & Process ImprovementDrive capacity planning efforts to ensure scalability and operational efficiencyIdentify and implement process improvements based on operational insightsLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and performanceProject ExecutionLead and execute data center projects, including deployments, migrations, and infrastructure upgradesAct as the on-site owner for project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality, and safety standards are metCollaborate cross-functionally while maintaining strong execution focusFinancial & Asset ManagementSupport budgeting and cost control through oversight of asset utilization and procurementEnsure accurate tracking and management of data center assets and inventoryBalance operational requirements with cost efficiencyRequired SkillsStrong English communication skills (written and verbal) are required for coordination with global teams and stakeholdersProven ability to operate as a working manager, balancing hands-on execution with leadership responsibilitiesStrong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including compute, networking fundamentals, and facilities systemsExcellent troubleshooting and incident management capabilitiesExperience managing vendors and colocation environmentsStrong project execution and operational planning skillsExperience in capacity planning, asset management, and process improvementStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skillsAbility to perform effectively in high-pressure, high-availability environmentsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across teamsRequired Experience10+ years of experience in data center operations or similar infrastructure environmentsProven experience in hands-on technical roles within data centersPrior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, with a focus on hands-on operational leadershipExperience supporting data center build-outs, deployments, or infrastructure upgrades (strongly preferred)Experience managing colocation environments and vendor relationshipsDemonstrated experience leading incident response and operational executionExperience with capacity planning and performance optimizationFamiliarity with compliance frameworks (SOC, ISO, PCI) is a plusCompensationEstimated Pay Range: $76,900.00 - $176,800.00 USD/yrWe also offer comprehensive benefits options which vary depending on role, location, and employment type.
