Senior / Lead Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Engineer.Responsibilities:End to end software development including program design, estimation, development, debugging, unit testing, and documentation across applications, systems, databases, and web platformsDesign scalable, enterprise level solutions that support current and future business needsLeads or contributes to the technical design of complex features aligned with architectural standards and long term maintainabilityContributes to system modernization efforts, including decomposition of monolithic applications into microservices and API first architecturesDesigns and implements event driven solutions leveraging Azure messaging services such as Service Bus and Event GridApplies modern engineering practices including clean architecture, test driven development, and automated testingDefines testing strategies and oversees execution of comprehensive test plans, including stress and load testingReviews application code and ensures compliance with development, architecture, and security standardsImplements observability, monitoring, and proactive alerting using logging and tracing best practicesProvides ongoing maintenance for applications, systems, databases, and websitesDelivers third level production support, including on call coverage, and serves as escalation point for complex issuesTroubleshoots and resolves high impact production issues through to resolutionPartners with leadership and architecture to identify system improvements, modernization opportunities, and technical debt reductionMentors developers, promotes knowledge sharing, and supports team skill developmentParticipates in code reviews and helps establish and reinforce development standardsSupports evaluation and selection of new tools, frameworks, and vendor softwareFollows secure coding standards and addresses security scan findingsREQUIREMENTS:Strong experience with Microsoft technology stack, including: .NET / C# (Core and/or Framework); Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Event Grid, etc.)Experience designing and building scalable, cloud-based applications and APIsExperience working with or migrating from monolithic architectures to microservicesExperience with event-driven architecture and messaging patternsStrong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts and layered architectureExperience with modern front-end technologies such as TypeScript, Angular, and/or ReactStrong experience with SQL and relational databasesProficiency with GitHub, version control, and modern development workflowsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesHands-on experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworksExperience implementing observability practices (logging, monitoring, tracing)Strong understanding of secure coding practicesExperience mentoring developers and contributing to technical directionExposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is a plusThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
