Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for aSenior Full Stack Engineer for aContract assignment with one of our premierRegulatory clients in theDMV orNY/NJ areasThis role is hybrid (3 days/week Onsite)As an Senior Software engineer on our team, you'll be expected to lead by example, write great code, solve difficult problems, set a high bar for the team around you and help them achieve engineering excellence. We want you to execute on "your" ideas, challenge the status quo and generally make things better. You will need the soft-skills too; Communication, influence, and passion are critical to the success of the team and ultimately the company. ResponsibilitiesDevelop full-stack solutions leveraging modern technology stack as well as big-data expertise.Work on an Agile development team to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologiesPartner with management, architects, and product owners to understand requirements, evaluating the features to prepare applications specifications into workable technical solutionsWork within a team with deep experience in distributed microservices, big-data technologies and full-stack systemsDevelop solutions on AWS by leveraging serverless technology in order to build highly available, scalable and cost-efficient systemsBring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, and participate in internal & external technology communitiesDemonstrate Innovation, ownership and self-starter mentalityRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant EngineeringDemonstrated experience with leveraging AI technology in improving productivity as well as the incorporating in the software solutions.7+ years' experience in Software Engineering, building full-stack software using Java-script, Java, REST/Web services, Angular, Spring boot.5+ years of experience building solutions on AWS cloud (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, EMR, etc.)4+ years of experience working with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Presto, AWS EMR)3+ years' experience in writing and performance tuning SQL queries2+ years of experience working with one or more of the following scripting languages: Unix shell, Python, Perl, groovy, etc.PreferredSkills Preferred Qualifications:Experience in designing and architecting system based on the business needsExperience in implementing business critical projects of large scope and technical complexityUnderstanding of AWS Well architected concepts and design principles.
