Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for anEnterprise Architect - Solution Governance & Agentic AIfor aCONTRACT assignment with one of our premierINSURANCE clients inHARTFORD, CT (Remote) This is a remote role.Position SummaryThe Enterprise Architect (Contract) plays adual-accountability role, equally responsible forEnterprise Solution Governance andhands-on Solution Architecture delivery, with a strong emphasis onAgentic AI workflows and cloud-native platforms This role requires a practitioner who canoperate at the Architecture Review Board (ARB) level, shaping standards and enforcing governance,while also designing, prototyping, and validating complex solutions-particularly in the area ofAgentic AI, GenAI platforms, and intelligent orchestration patterns usingAWS Bedrock and/or Google Cloud Platform Vertex AI The ideal candidate is ahands-on architect who understands how to move seamlessly frompolicy and standards toworking architectures and POCs, especially in highly regulated environments such as insurance.Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Architecture & Solution Governance (Equal Priority)Lead and executeenterprise solution governance processes, ensuring alignment with established EA standards, reference architectures, and approved integration and security patterns.Actively participate as amember of the Architecture Review Board (ARB), contributing to architectural decision-making, risk assessment, and solution approvals.Establish and operate aPermit-to-Build tollgate, governing both greenfield and modernization initiatives across all Lines of Business (LOBs), including GenAI, data, and advanced analytics solutions.Ensure all governed solutions comply withregulatory and compliance mandates (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX), with particular attention to cloud, data, and AI-driven architectures.Lead or contribute toarchitecture scoring and design quality assessments, ensuring solutions meet enterprise standards for resiliency, scalability, security, and maintainability.Partner closely with peer Enterprise Architects toassign primary assessors, review incoming initiatives, and maintain a forward-looking pipeline of governance demand.Solution Architecture & Hands-On Agentic AI Development (Equal Priority)Design and implement end-to-end solution architectures, moving beyond conceptual models intoexecutable designs and working prototypes, particularly in cloud-native and AI-driven domains.Leadhands-on Proofs of Concept (POCs) to validate emerging technologies, platforms, and services-specificallyAgentic AI patterns such as autonomous agents, task orchestration, tool-use agents, and multi-agent workflows.Architect and buildAgentic AI workflows using modern GenAI platforms, withpreferred experience in AWS Bedrock(Agents, foundation models, orchestration, integration with AWS services), and/orGoogle Cloud Platform Vertex AI(agents, pipelines, orchestration, model lifecycle management).Apply strong solution architecture practices totranslate business problems into AI-enabled architectures, including prompt strategies, agent memory, tool integration, event-driven triggers, and observability.Designsecure, scalable, and governed AI solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise security, data privacy, and compliance expectations from inception through production readiness.Collaborate with engineering teams tobridge architecture and implementation, providing reference implementations, design artifacts, and technical guidance that accelerates delivery while reducing rework.Technology Evaluation & Innovation EnablementEvaluate and assessnew technology platforms and AI services prior to POC approval or enterprise onboarding, balancing innovation with risk management.Drive architectural clarity aroundGenAI, Agentic AI, and emerging cloud-native patterns, ensuring these innovations are introduced responsibly within enterprise guardrails.Contribute toreference architecture evolution, especially for AI-enabled, event-driven, and cloud-native solutions.EA Tooling, Metrics & EnablementDefine and tracksolution governance KPIs using the EA tool, including technology debt, reverse demand by LOB, and approval outcomes.Support EA enablement throughSharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps, and Power BI, improving transparency, workflow efficiency, and architectural insight.Qualifications & ExperienceArchitecture & Governance8-10+ years of experience inEnterprise and Solution Architecture, includingactive participation in ARBs and formal governance processes.Strong experience creating and enforcingreference architectures, standards, and patterns in regulated environments.Solution Architecture & Hands-On DeliveryRecent, hands-on experiencedesigning and building solutions-not just reviewing them-particularly incloud-native and GenAI domains Demonstrated experience buildingAgentic AI or GenAI-driven POCs, including orchestration, integration, and lifecycle considerations.Deep knowledge ofAWS and/or Google Cloud Platform, with architectural fluency across compute, networking, storage, databases, and AI services.Education & CertificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA a plus.Preferred certifications:TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect,
