Join our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive speech therapy services with clear, lasting this vital role, you will administer and provide speech-language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by physicians; evaluate, plan, direct, and treat individuals receiving therapy services, helping them maximize functional performance and independence while adapting to the limitations of their disability. You will also contribute to departmental performance and CQI initiatives that support exceptional patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders, and establish individualized treatment goalsDevelop and implement effective individualized treatment plans in consultation with physiciansPerform swallowing and related clinical examinations, communicate findings promptly, and recommend dietary modifications to reduce aspiration riskMonitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate to optimize outcomesMaintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, interventions, and patient progress in the medical recordSupport departmental quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives through active interdisciplinary collaborationEngage patients and families in the plan of care, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and educational needs with respect and professionalismRequirements: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or universityHospital-based experienceNew York State licensed Speech Language PathologistASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency and BCLS CertificationCompetency in the use of CSL and nasometry equipmentAbility to build enduring relationships with each patient and familyCollaborative-minded professional with strong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively, remain flexible, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environmentLocated in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, TBHC is a clinical affiliate of The Mount Sinai Hospital and an academic affiliate of The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
