General Manager — New Restaurant Opening (Fort Lauderdale) We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the opening of an exciting new restaurant concept in Fort Lauderdale. Developed by a team of acclaimed hospitality professionals with roots in New York City’s dynamic dining scene, this project blends a deep commitment to quality, health-conscious cuisine, and a warm, coastal-inspired guest experience. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground level and play a defining role in shaping both the culture and operations of a highly anticipated restaurant. The General Manager will work closely with the founding team to bring the vision to life—building, mentoring, and inspiring a team while establishing systems that support excellence, consistency, and growth. About the Concept The restaurant will feature approximately 130 seats, including a vibrant bar program. The menu draws inspiration from the Florida coastline, complemented by Mediterranean coastal influences—focusing on clean flavors, seasonal ingredients, and thoughtful sourcing. The approach to hospitality will reflect a balance of polished service and genuine warmth, where structure exists to support—not stifle—personality. The Role The General Manager will be responsible for creating memorable guest experiences while fostering a culture rooted in humility, accountability, and continuous improvement. This individual will take ownership of all aspects of the operation—from team development and service standards to financial performance and overall guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead all pre-opening and opening operations, including hiring, training, and onboarding the full team Collaborate with ownership to refine and execute the restaurant’s vision, culture, and standards Establish and uphold service protocols that feel both elevated and approachable Drive a culture of excellence through coaching, feedback, and hands-on leadership Oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless execution across front-of-house functions Monitor financial performance, including labor, cost controls, and revenue growth Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment Act as the primary ambassador for the brand, building relationships with guests and the local community Who You Are A proven leader with experience opening or operating high-quality, high-volume restaurants Deeply passionate about hospitality, with a focus on creating meaningful guest connections Hands-on, humble, and team-oriented in your leadership style Driven by a desire for constant improvement, evolution, and innovation Skilled in balancing structure with flexibility—able to uphold standards while empowering individuality Financially savvy with a strong understanding of restaurant operations and performance metrics Excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up alongside a dedicated founding team Why This Role This position offers more than just operational leadership—it’s a chance to help define a concept from its earliest stages and leave a lasting imprint on its success.
