Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced2nd Shift Machine Shop Department Supervisorto lead our metal fabrication operations. This hands-on role oversees all aspects of milling and turning operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of metal manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive quality, safety, and efficiency within the department. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machine operator personnel Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC fabrication equipment as needed. Ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards. Manage workflow to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines. Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety, and quality procedures. Monitor tool wear, maintenance schedules, and inventory of raw materials. Collaborate closely with engineering, welding, and assembly departments to ensure smooth production flow. Promote continuous improvement initiatives in quality, efficiency, and safety. Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in machining. 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role. Strong understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork.
