Job Details - Locum Tenens CRNA, Joliet, IL Assignment Type: Locum tenens (contract) - CRNA / Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Start Date: May 26, 2026 End Date: January 2, 2027 Duration: 32 weeks Shifts per Week: 5 (days; 8-hour standard; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available) Hours per Week: Minimum 32 Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,220 - $5,500 (competitive locum tenens CRNA pay) Setting: 500-bed hospital with 8 anesthesia rooms; perioperative and inpatient care Supervision: Collaborative model with supervising MDs (approx. 1:4 MD to CRNA ratio) Charting System: iPro and paper charting (anesthesia documentation) Case Types: General, Neuro, Ortho, OB, Cardiac, Pediatrics, Endocrine, MRI, Cardiac Cath Lab, Outpatient Pediatrics Call: No call required; weekends available for extra shifts (optional) Job Requirements - CRNA Qualifications Valid registered professional nurse license and CRNA credentials Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as a CRNA (hospital/OR experience preferred) Ability to work a minimum of 30-32 hours per week for the assignment duration Willingness to obtain Illinois state license if not currently held (Illinois CRNA license required) Responsibilities - Clinical CRNA Duties Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and risk evaluations Obtain and verify informed patient consent for anesthesia care Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans with patients and families Induce, maintain, and emergence of general and regional anesthesia as appropriate Monitor and manage patients' physiological status throughout procedures Perform clinical interventions and airway management as needed Collaborate with supervising physicians, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff for safe anesthesia delivery Document anesthesia care thoroughly in iPro and paper charting systems Why This Locum Tenens CRNA Opportunity This Joliet, IL CRNA locum tenens role offers exposure to a large, diverse surgical caseload and a supportive hospital anesthesia team.
