Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients.Prevent and respond to emergency situationsIdentify and report any malfunctions or irregularities of equipment or facilityAttend regularly scheduled staff meeting and in service trainingEnforce all rules and regulationsProvide customer serviceLifeguard according to Facility, State Code and Lifeguard Training standardsSupervise proper use of swimming pools along with supporting facilitiesMaintain current certifications in lifeguard training, First Aid for the professional rescuer, and CPR for the professional rescuerPerform pool maintenance duties as assignedOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:Current American Red Cross, YMCA. or equivalent Lifeguard Training certification is requiredFirst Aid, AED, and CPR-PR certifications are requiredPrevious lifeguard experience preferredWater Safety Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor certifications preferredCompetenciesTechnical CompetenciesBasic computer competencyProfessional CompetenciesAbility to perform all Lifeguard skills as required by American Red Cross Lifeguard Training ProgramSuccessful completion of skills tests in swimming, rescue, and other areas as determined by the facilityHuman Relations:Interaction with patrons, faculty, staffWork EnvironmentPoolModerate to loud noisePhysical DemandsPhysical conditioningOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
