Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) serves young people ages 6-18 with severe behavioral health challenges such as depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and self-harming behaviors.The treatment team includes child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, licensed psychotherapists, occupational and recreational therapists, social workers, mental health specialists and certified teachers.PRN/Weekend call and onsite coverage of the inpatient service.Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordinationPRN Weekend call and onsite coverage of the inpatient service.Inpatient volume: 4 - 6 patientsAbility to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serveEvaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient carePatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skillsMD or DOBoard Certified in Child/Adolescent PsychiatryExperienced Child/Adolescent PsychiatristAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of WisconsinHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practiceEligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
