With destinations like Boston, New York, the seacoast, and ski country within driving distance, New Hampshire is the ideal place to work and play.Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire’s only academic medical center, seeks a Lead Audiologist to oversee our team of audiologists and audiology support staff.In this role, you will collaborate with the Chief of Otolaryngology for the direction and scope of the audiology practice, encourage standardization of processes and procedures, and maintain high-level patient and staff satisfaction. You will work closely with specialty subject matter experts within the team (e.g. vestibular, cochlear implant) to promote and maintain best practices and standards while acting as a clinical resource in audiology.Position Highlights:Full-time, four 10-hour shifts/weekLead the Audiology division by supervising the audiologists and support staff, monitoring competency standards, overseeing clinical access, and maintaining an annual budget and contractsMaintain a strong clinical practice in your area of specialty expertiseOpportunities to participate in cutting-edge clinical and basic science research with both Otolaryngology and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth exist and are encouraged but not requiredAcademic appointment with Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth to be requestedThe ideal candidate will also possess the following:Proven leadership skills desiredStrong interpersonal, and communication skills which include the ability to thoroughly and effectively counsel patients and their families while building patient rapportExcellent verbal and written skillsThe ability to work in a very collaborative, team environmentThe ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, providers, and other team membersBenefits Include:Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, benefits, and relocation assistanceDedicated CME time and funds ($4,000 every two years)Up to 6% employer contribution to 403BRequirements:Master's degree in Audiology with minimum of four years of experienceCertification by either ASHA or ABA (six-year M.A. or M.S.) with eligibility for certification by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association required.Ability to obtain NH Audiology licenseThe Audiology Section at DH provides a range of diagnostic and amplification/management options for all ages and works closely with Otolaryngology/Otology. Various behavioral hearing tests and auditory physiologic measures are performed, including sedated and unsedated ABR, as well as OAEs, VNGs, VHITs, VEMPs and ECOGs. Our aural rehabilitation services include hearing aid dispensing, cochlear implant management, osseointegrated technologies and hearing assistive technology (HAT). The clinic strives to practice evidence-based audiology and employs best practices.
