The Maintainence Technician assures that equipment is maintained for maximum available production capacity.Verifies Preventative Maintenance work orders are properly matched to the equipment in the area.Follow through for accurate Countermeasures on Major Breakdown ReportsEnsures adequate spare parts are availableManages any ongoing projects in the departmentInteracts with Vendors and Contractors for related work in the DepartmentUnderstanding and implementation of a safe work environmentSchedules shutdown work with PlannersAssists with creation of One Point Lessons and Standard Operating Procedures for tasks necessary for more efficient repair and troubleshootingEnsures that department is kept in a clean 5s standardWorks closely with Maintenance Supervisor on communicating work load and recommended improvementsRequires On Call availabilityTechnical/analytic skillsEffective written/oral communicationGood working knowledge of computer applicationsHigh School Diploma5-8 years related experience including good working knowledge of PLC’s, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and welding equipment. Must have had an effective background in environmental safety and supervision
