In the office setting, perform comprehensive physical exams including a health history for patients with a past, current or potential diagnosis of cancer. Provide care to specific populations in cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, active treatment, palliative care and rehabilitation. Work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary health care team in assessment, diagnosis and management of cancer and related disorders.Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required. Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required. Advanced Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification required or to be achieved within first year of employment as an ONP. Minimum one year experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) required. One year experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner preferred.Certification issued by Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Registered Nurse in an expanded role required. Current Nurse Practitioner license required.
