Senior Software Engineer (Back End) - Romania

TCN is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Back End) to join our team in our team in Romania. The Senior Software Engineer (Back End) designs, develops, tests, and maintains the TCN software platform. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to the design and development of products and features, unit testing, code reviews, resolving defects encountered during the quality assurance (QA) cycle, supporting the production environment, and assisting other developers in a team environment.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or relevant, demonstrated industry experience. They also should have a minimum of five (5) years' experience developing web applications with Go, Rust, JavaScript, or other back-end programming languages.ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with team members to design, develop, and test new features using modern front-end technologies that meet the business needs of our clientsDiscusses, researches, and understands emerging technologies and trendsInterfaces with front-end teams on product needsIdentifies, triages, escalates, and resolves production-related issues in a timely mannerProvides mentorship and code reviews to other team members; learns from direct collaboration and open discussion of ongoing workParticipates in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery of cloud-based software using agile development practicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or relevant, demonstrated industry experienceNot less than five (5) years' experience developing web applications with Go, Rust, JavaScript, or other back-end programming languagesExperience working in and using typical Linux toolbox of open-source software and management toolsDemonstrated technical knowledge and proficiency with back-end architecture, design, and principles; software design and principles; and RPC mechanismsDemonstrated experience with distributed version control/code versioning tools (i.e., Git)Understanding of and experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), performance troubleshooting, and parallel programmingExperience with Amazon Web Service, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure (APIs and CLIs)Demonstrated ability to adapt to various competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with many simultaneous projectsExcellent attention to detail; ability to work accurately and to identify, analyze, prevent, and solve problemsExcellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to adapt message/style to fit audience (i.e., ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience)About TCNTCN is a fast-growing technology company and provides all its services over the internet in a cloud-based software-as-a-service model.
